Community Partnerships

At Maplewood Elementary, we believe that strong community partnerships are essential to promoting a supportive environment for our students, families and staff. We collaborate with many local organizations and businesses to promote the success of our school.

Brooks Construction:
Donate pants, shoes, socks and underwear and shirts to maintain a clothing bank at school for those that need an emergency outfit.

Waynedale Baptist Church:
Our Rising Start partner; they have worked hand in hand to support Maplewood for years. Annually they support by cooking the teachers breakfast and dinner for special events. They also provide volunteers for all special events at the school to provide extra helping hands. They donate snacks and treats to special events.

Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS):
Has partnered with Maplewood with the Lunch Buddies program. BBBS Volunteers come into the school weekly to be supportive to their assigned student.

New Hope Farms:
A local food pantry that has partnered with Maplewood to help Maplewood families who are in need of food to help support the family if they are struggling with food insecurity.

Lunch Buddies:
Students eat lunch with a special buddy such as a teacher, staff member or volunteer to help with friendship-building.

Study Connection:
Maplewood partners with BAE Systems, whose staff volunteers visit every Tuesday to tutor and support individual students.
